NetProFaN

NETWORK OF PROFESSIONALS
OF FOOD AND NUTRITION
Food is at the foundation of good health and a key element for preventive healthcare. Over the past few years, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), has been deeply engaged with a wide-section of professionals in its efforts to ensure safe and wholesome food for all citizens. This has helped the FSSAI to take a holistic approach to food and nutrition through cross-fertilization of ideas amongst professionals of different disciplines. It is now felt that this engagement, which is primarily at the national level or restricted to a few metros be broadened to cover States and UTS and eventually as many districts and cities as possible across the country.
NetProFaN is thus envisioned as a collective of professionals in the areas of food, nutrition and public health that come together to promote safe food and healthy diets for all and draw upon the expertise of professionals outside the network as well.
