The phase III of the Eat Right course is a programme by FSSAI with an aim to spread education and raise awareness on eating right - eating safe, healthy and sustainably among the in-service IAS officers, as part of their mid-career training programme (MCTP). This course is offered to the IAS officers with 7-8 years of seniority. It has been designed tohelp them have a deeper understanding of the core concept of ‘Eat Right India’ movement and prepare them to be role models for the society. The MCTP marks a key inflection point when an IAS officer makes a transition from field administration to higher level responsibilities as Head of Department at the State level and Deputy Secretary / Director in the Government of India with the mandate to ensure qualitative improvement in delivery of services in the larger context.

Objective

  • To help officers understand the role and structure of FSSAI
  • To facilitate officers with state FDA functionaries
  • To introduce officers to the 'Eat Right India' movement
  • To learn about efficient service delivery in specific sectors from experiences across States.

Course Structure; Phase III

The Phase III of the Eat Right Course, is spread across 4 weeks. It would comprise of two sessions of 50 minutes each. The sessions will be addressed by subject matter experts on each domain of eating right. At the end of the course, the participants would be given a small booklet with activities under the 'Eat Right India' domain, which they can implement in their respective districts.
