The phase III of the Eat Right course is a programme by FSSAI with an aim to spread education and raise awareness on eating right - eating safe, healthy and sustainably among the in-service IAS officers, as part of their mid-career training programme (MCTP). This course is offered to the IAS officers with 7-8 years of seniority. It has been designed tohelp them have a deeper understanding of the core concept of ‘Eat Right India’ movement and prepare them to be role models for the society. The MCTP marks a key inflection point when an IAS officer makes a transition from field administration to higher level responsibilities as Head of Department at the State level and Deputy Secretary / Director in the Government of India with the mandate to ensure qualitative improvement in delivery of services in the larger context.
Objective
- To help officers understand the role and structure of FSSAI
- To facilitate officers with state FDA functionaries
- To introduce officers to the 'Eat Right India' movement
- To learn about efficient service delivery in specific sectors from experiences across States.
